USSR
by Hannah Moscovitch
USSR tells the story of a young Russian woman, Elena, as she shares her personal journey of emigrating from Russia to Canada, motherhood, and love over a pack of emergency cigarettes. This magnificent solo show explores themes of identity, motherhood, love, loss, family and dreams.
I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to explore this beautiful play under the direction of Jacqueline Karabatsos, and with Chekhov coaching from Sofie Jarvis.
